Following on from successful conferences in 2006 in Nice and 2008 in Brussels, the European Physical Society and CLEO Europe-EQEC are delighted to announce the organisation of a special CLEO Focus Meeting on New Frontiers in Photonics, to be held within ECOC 2010 in Torino Italy, 19-23 September 2010.

Overview
Within the themes of this meeting, new developments and trends are explored that have strong potential for identifying forward-looking and emerging research directions of potential relevance to optical communications, but which would not yet be suitable for submission to regular ECOC technical committees. The meeting is organised around three broad areas aiming to bridge the gap between basic science and telecom applications.

Paper Submission
Contributions are solicited in each of the above-described topical themes. Papers can be submitted using the ECOC 2010 online paper submission procedure. When you are logged onto the EDAS automated submission system, first choose "ECOC 2010" and then select the submission track: "CLEO/Europe-EQEC Focus Meeting". For detailed instructions click here.

As for ECOC 2010, CLEO paper submission was closed on April 15th 2010.
